Bereavement Groups
Grief can be isolating, but connecting with others who have experienced similar loss can offer solace and support. Bereavement groups provide a safe, non-judgmental space where participants can share their experiences, express emotions, and feel understood. They can help to normalise the impacts of grief, reduce isolation, and offer opportunities to strengthen connections within a supportive community.
In partnership with Bellarine Community Health, Compassionate Hearts on the Bellarine runs two monthly groups for bereaved carers who have experienced a loss within the past 12 months. Each group is a welcoming space where people are treated with kindness, dignity, and respect.
Coffee Group
10am on the 1st Tuesday of every month
Meet with our volunteers and other carers at a local café on the Bellarine Peninsula to share conversation and support over coffee.
Walking Group
10am on the 3rd Tuesday of every month
Guided by our volunteers, the group takes a gentle walk along varying routes, always pausing for a coffee and connection along the way.
